Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried herbs e.g., rosemary, thyme
  • Water as needed
  • Sesame seeds optional
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, flour, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried herbs.
  • Mix until a dough forms. If too dry, add water a tablespoon at a time.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  • Roll the dough out to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  • Cut the rolled dough into desired shapes (squares or circles).
  • Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and sesame seeds if using.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  • Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.
