Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Extra pumpkin pie spice for garnish

Instructions

  • Brew the espresso or strong coffee and set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Heat the mixture over low heat until warmed through.
  • Add the brewed espresso to the pumpkin mixture and stir well.
  • In another saucepan, heat the milk until steaming (but not boiling).
  • Froth the milk using a frother or whisk until creamy.
  • Pour the pumpkin coffee mixture into a mug.
  • Gently pour the frothed milk over the coffee mixture.
  • Add vanilla extract and stir to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
