Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
Remove from heat and add the tea bags.
Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes.
Remove tea bags and stir in sugar if desired.
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
Fill a pitcher with ice cubes.
Pour the brewed tea over the ice.
Add lemon juice and mix well.
Garnish with mint leaves and fruit slices.
Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
