Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine honey and soy sauce over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic to the mixture and stir well.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  • Slowly pour the slurry into the saucepan while stirring continuously.
  • Add apple cider vinegar and sesame oil to enhance flavor.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the sauce to a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.
