Ingredients

  • 1 box cornbread mix
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornbread mix, creamed corn, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  • Add salt and black pepper to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • Fold in the chopped green onions for extra flavor, if desired.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  • Pour the cornbread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  • Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Cut into squares and serve warm, garnished with additional cheese or green onions if desired.
